The first catechists in any child’s life are the family members with whom he or she lives. What happens at home – both positive and negative – provides lessons for life. In the family, faith is shared as part of the unfolding of daily life. The home or “domestic church” provides a real place in which a child learns to live his or her faith as well as understand it.

Our goal is to create a program of lifelong faith formation that is centered in and flows out of the events of Church life. It embraces all ages and generation, promotes faith growth at home and promotes participation in Church life.

Religious Education at St Patrick Parish comes to families through various formats:

1)  Traditional Program: Grades K-6 meet weekly on Mondays, Tuesdays or Wednesdays.  If you have questions about the Sacrament of Reconciliation or First Holy Communion, please contact Jan Dunn at 630-553-6671×13.

2)  Jr. High continued formation known as  Coming Together Nights (C.T. Nights) meet weekly on Sundays from 6:30pm to 8pm and with an expectation that families will attend the 5:00pm Mass on Sunday evenings.  If you have questions about confirmation, please contact Michele Gonzales at 630-553-6671 x23.
