More than 50,000 families state-wide have applied for the new Tax Credit Scholarship Program. Over $45 million has been raised thus far. School Choice has very strong support in Illinois. Senate Bill 2236 attacks the new initiative that allows low-income and working-class children to receive scholarships to attend a school of their choice by tying the program to the unpredictable budget process EVERY year.
