At St. Patrick Parish, one of our major concerns is helping parishioners complete and update their sacramental life. We educate children and adults to prepare them for their Baptism, first Communion and Confirmation. Adults are instructed and assisted as they prepare to celebrate marriage. For those whose marriages did not work out as planned, we offer assistance in requesting annulments.
We are here to help you and guide you through the annulment process. The first step is for you to gather the following documents before meeting with our Deacons. Once you have these in hand, please call to schedule a meeting at which time we will discuss the complete process and a reasonable timeline for completion, as well as any costs involved.
Copy of your Baptism Certificate
(If you do not have it, you should contact the church where you were baptized)
Certified copy of your Marriage Certificate
(You can obtain a copy from the courthouse in the county in which you were married)
Copy of your Divorce Decree
(We need all pages of that document – copy available at county courthouse)
Certified Copy of Death Certificate
(If spouse is no longer alive, we will need this – If you do not have it, you may request it from the county courthouse)
Be assured that any discussion about your marriage and divorce is always confidential. Private information is not shared with anyone and because of this, you will be asked to keep any copies of confidential documents, except for those that are sent to the Diocesan Tribunal or those which we need to retain. Our documents are kept in a secure, locked file cabinet with limited access.
Please contact the Parish Office and one of our Deacons will be assigned to help you. The phone number is 630.553.6671. Thank you!
