Purpose: To transform lives by making church matter, building disciples and seeking and saving the lost in our community.
Thank you for your interest in Confirmation at Saint Patrick Parish. It is an honor and a privilege to be able to help guide your child as they journey into adulthood in the Catholic Faith. You have provided your child with an example of living out the Catholic Faith. Now it is your child’s turn to learn to walk with Jesus on their own. We look forward to partnering with you during this transition as we help each student develop a lifelong relationship with Jesus Christ.
A Note from the Pastor
“Confirmation is a journey; a part of your walk with Christ. Our purpose at St. Patrick Parish is to assist our youth in developing a transformational relationship with Jesus. We are here to walk with each other, through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, to seek a transformational experience that will hopefully lead to a well-balanced life. St. Patrick Parish wants to provide opportunities that give each of us the motivation that is needed to better understand the purpose of our lives. Being in relationship with each other will help us be accountable in seeking a relationship with Jesus Christ .”
St. Patrick’s Vision for religious education has progressed over this past year (in particularly with the Jr. High) and will continue to grow in alignment with the parish’s purpose, which is to have an awesome experience every weekend, raise up leaders and to provide an opportunity to those who have not had a personal encounter with Jesus or to grow deeper in their relationship with Him.
Working as a team during the last few months, with much prayer, a leadership team was formed and has been meeting regularly to discuss exciting and innovative ways to engage the students, by looking through a lens into their world and how this all connects to a relationship with Jesus.
Session offered Junior high continued formation classes will be known as Coming Together Nights (CTNights). These nights will be offered weekly on Sunday evenings from 6:30 – 8:00pm.
Our kick off for the CTNights will take place on September 24 th at our Feed the Flock Fest. Please look for upcoming details.
For Those Seeking Confirmation
St. Patrick Parish religious education guidelines have evolved to interweave with the parish’s purpose statement: To transform lives by making Church matter, building disciples, and seeking and saving the lost in our community.
A student, of their own accord, is expected to request Confirmation.
Students will be asked to show that they are committed to a lifelong relationship with Jesus by meeting the following expectations:
- Regular Attendance in Coming Together Nights (CT Nights) for a minimum of two-years
- Weekly Mass Attendance
- Commitment and involvement in a parish life ministry
- Attend an all-day transformational retreat
